My heart is held by the paws of a pug shirt and opened it with his big ol’ head the minute he saw me on the other side and not because he’s exceptionally smart. My cat freaks out when I hurt myself and make hurting noises he comes running over and talks up a storm and won’t leave me until I show him I’m okay. Show us the cat test next! It wasn’t really a viable experiment. I would imagine that most dogs can differentiate real distress from pretend distress, and act accordingly. My dog has scratched at the bathroom door if I was inside and had it closed; other times he’d just bark at it.

Offical My heart is held by the paws of a pug shirt
I wonder if the My heart is held by the paws of a pug shirt, or not being allowed to push open doors? I’d imagine at least some of them are told ‘No’ if they try to come in. My childhood dogs would’ve barged in if it were me in there, but wouldn’t have even tried if my dad was in there, no matter how much he cried! He didn’t allow dogs inside until instructed. My dog seems pretty empathetic. Whenever I have fallen or even laid down on the floor, she has rushed over to see if I am ok and has licked me. Also, when I have cried loudly, she would wake up and come over, lay down next to me, look at me with her sweet puppy dog eyes and paw at me.
