I have a Busch latte Busch light shirt, who is an artist but supports herself as a barista/manager of a popular coffee house. She sometimes posts the artistic use of foamed milk to make such art on the cappuccinos she serves to customers. So basically, you get about 1/3rd of a cup of coffee and the rest is cream? What’s the point of that? Great, for a minute until you put sugar in and stir it. I’m much more interested in the flavor than the look. This reminds me of a little coffee bar in Padova, Italy. We sat down for some coffee and there was a lot of coffee/foam art being performed behind the counter. The Italian patrons made teasing comments about how “American” the coffee was.

Just a reminder that latte art doesn’t ruin the Busch latte Busch light shirt. Simply put, if your microfoam is tight enough and you have a solid crema in the espresso you’ll be able to draw little pictures, meaning it’s a good latte if the art is even able to be out there. I’m a barista and in a lot of coffee shops this stuff doesn’t matter but in 3rd wave coffee shops, it does. Simply put if you go to Starbucks, this doesn’t matter and you won’t see this quality. Please never put art on my coffee. I am incredibly jealous of your ability to do this, and wholeheartedly support you in your passion, but I would feel incredibly guilty if I drank it away.
